Hardener D-230 (Polyoxypropylene diamines)

Hardener D-230 is a difunctional primary amine with an average molecular weight of around 230.
D-230 is transparent, has low viscosity and vapor pressure, and completely miscible in a wide variety of solvents, including water.

Hardener D-230 creates a tough, clear, impact-resistant coatings, castings, and adhesives. Including decoupage applications, composites, electronic-electrical encapsulation, and lamination. Coatings made with D-230 are free of the surface “blush” prevalent with many amine curing agents. Medical devices, industrial floors, boat manufacture, bar-restaurant countertops are other common uses.
Epoxies systems formulated with D-230 can be modified because D-230 is compatible with a wide range of modifiers and curing agents.
The reactivity of  D-230 may be modified by cyanoethylation, polyurea coatings have been made from the cyanoethylated derivative.
Hardener D-230 may be stored under air at ambient temperatures for extended periods, a nitrogen blanket is suggested for all storage in case of accidental high temperatures. Noticeable discoloration is likely to occur at temperatures above 138°F.
