The most used industrial epoxy resin in the world.
Epoxy Resin Undiluted Transparent Difunctional Bisphenol A-Epichlorohydrin Liquid
Resin 828 resin is an undiluted transparent difunctional bisphenol A/epichlorohydrin liquid epoxy resin. When mixed or hardened with appropriate curing agents, excellent good mechanical, adhesive, dielectric and chemical resistance properties are obtained. Because of this versatility, Resin 828 has become a standard epoxy resin used in formulation, fabrication and fusion technology around the world. Resin 828 applications include:
- Composite applications
- Tank and fiber reinforced pipes and parts
- Systems for tooling, casting and molding applications
- Adhesives for the construction, electrical, aerospace and manufacturing industries
- Low VOC, very high solids
- Boat manufacture, marine coatings
- Encapsulations (electrical-electronic) and laminates
- Chemical resistant tank linings, epoxy floors and grouts
- Starting formula resin for epoxy fusion technology development
- Molding, Casting, spraying or brushing, pressure laminating, pultrusion
Epoxa us liquid epoxy resins when mixed with intended hardeners create a solid with an extense number of properties. They are widely used in high performance applications and projects such as aerospace structure and parts, coatings, adhesives, civil engineering, electrical-electronic encapsulation and insulation, composites, etc. Cured Systems are high strength materials, since many formulas easily provide tensile strengths greater than 10,000 psi and modulus values higher than 400,000 psi.
Resin 828 adheres strongly to a great variety of surfaces and substrates. Typical shear strength of up to 6,000 psi (41 Mpa). Very low contraction or shrinkage by these epoxy systems during cure compared to other polymers, give epoxy resins low internal stresses resulting in a durable and strong finished solid.
